First time grower: was wondering if uncle Ben’s is worth the risk. I read a post the other day saying not to even try it, but I see everybody else using it in videos. I am just wondering if anybody has constant success with uncle Ben’s tek, or if I should just pick up some grain bags until I can get me a pressure cooker.It’s $4 for 5lbs and uncle Ben’s is like $5 per pound. It definitely cheaper to sterilize your own imo. There are other of ways to sanitize your grain without a pressure canner. If you want to do grows every once in awhile, UB tek is a good way to go.Today, I am spawning to bulk the rice that was colonized using the Uncle Ben's Tek. Thanks to @90SecondMycology & @PhillyGoldenTeacher for the knowledge. @90...PF Tek would be the easiest but IMO, juice may not be worth the squeeze, takes longer than other methods and yield is lower. Uncle Bens is pretty easy too but in my experience, easy to contam if you don’t have your clean procedure down.
